Our Beliefs

we believe in God.

  • God is the only God. He is timeless. He was never born or created.  He cannot die.

  • God is the trinity; He is the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. These are distinctly themselves and distinctly God. We do not understand this completely but accept it as a matter of faith and it’s in the scripture.

    • We do not believe in modalism. God does not act in “different god modes” but is the Trinity.

  • God created all things both animate and inanimate.  This includes all creatures great and small, planets, Newtonian physics, everything. 

  • God is constant. He is unchanging. That is why we can rely on Him and His promises, especially as regards salvation.

  • God is all powerful.

  • God is perfect.

  • God is good. Period.

  • He may use the evil that men do for His good purpose but that does not make Him bad. In combat many people lose faith. They believe that if God is all powerful than the heinousness, we have lived through would not be; and if he is all good then He would not allow war, rape, etc. See the part about man’s freewill below.

  • God is all knowing. He has never been surprised not even by you.

  • God extends grace to us. This is the giving of what is undeserved without seeking recompense.

  • God is love, Justice, & Mercy.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God and second person of the Trinity.

  • Jesus is the savior we need. Jesus is the method and the only way that God authorizes that allows us to remain in His grace and re-enter into his kingdom family. Sin requires a sacrifice. We do not know why other than God has said this is so and so Jesus, the perfect sacrifice died for the forgiveness of sin. In some ways this is similar to a squad member falling on a loose hand grenade in order to save the rest of the squad. 

  • Jesus is both fully God and fully man. Again, another mystery. Jesus had DNA just like any other and his mother was a virgin because Jesus actual father was God.

  • Jesus did not sin. Jesus had the opportunity to do so many times. Satan himself attempted to get Jesus to sin after 40 days of starving in the desert. Jesus resisted the temptation by using scripture and remaining steadfast with the Father and the Holy Spirit. 

  • Jesus actually did state that He was God. The Bible is replete with examples of this but the notion that “Jesus never said He was God” is junk theology.

  • Jesus was tortured and killed by crucifixion by the Romans. They were very good at this. He actually died an extraordinarily painful death for the forgiveness of man’s sins.

  • Jesus resurrected from the dead. Jesus was seen alive and walking 3 days after he was killed. In the next few weeks Jesus was seen hanging around Judea eating, talking, and doing miracles. Jesus then arose to heaven to take His rightful place at the right hand of God. This is an honored place as all military people know.

  • Jesus will return. He is coming back! He will establish His kingdom on earth and the entire creation will be unified between earth and heaven, God and man once again. 

    Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not through works for Jesus. We do no heavy lifting on our own behalf here.

We believe that God created man.

  • God created man in God’s own image and he gave us freewill. Freewill is necessary for us to experience love. We must make the choice to love and follow God. Without freewill that cannot occur.

  • Man was made to live forever with God and tend to his affairs. We will live eternally either with or without God.

  • Man’s freewill allows us to defy God. This happened very early in the creation and the very first couple Adam & Eve, did so. This is called sin. Because of Adam, who was in charge of the Garden of Eden, we now have a natural tendency toward sin. Sin keeps us away from God who has not sinned and will not sin. Because of our tendency to sin we need a method of remaining in God’s grace and of being able to see Him face to face again. God provided such a method in Jesus.

  • God created only two sexes. They are male and female and they are designed to live together in families. Not having a family is not wrong but the kingdom on earth is manifest most in families.

  • Families are constituted by a Biblically authorized marriage; that is one man and one woman.  The man is the designated head of the family and women are there to support and assist. This is NOT A LOWER POSITION. We are all heirs to the kingdom equally; men receive no higher amount nor order of salvation than women do, but there needs to be a hierarchy. The hierarchy of the trinity is the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. The hierarchy of the family is God, husband, & wife.

  • This relationship when it is working well, closely resembles a Platoon Leader / Platoon Sergeant relationship. 

  • Men, leadership is NOT do as I say. Leadership is not a privilege it is the ultimate act of service.

  • Ladies support or submission does not mean doormat, of course you have abilities and gifts your husband does not. That is why he has you.

  • We support those who believe there are more than two genders and that marriage is not between a man and a woman. We will openly acknowledge, however; that they are very wrong. Showing them Jesus is not the same as making sure they understand how intensely we disagree.

  • Just for the record, we also disagree with embezzlement, theft, murder, and a host of other sins as well.

  • We believe in the resurrection of the physical body when Christ orders the last formation.

We believe in the Bible. 

  • We support a traditional Christian and fundamental view of the Bible. 

  • The Bible is inerrant and has no “contradictions.”

  • The Bible is God’s plan for the salvation of man.

  • The Bible is complete in the 66-book format.

  • The Bible is timeless and applies just as much today as it did in the periods where each book thereof was written.  It was written by God through the idioms, styles, and peculiarities of its several human writers.

We believe in Spiritual warfare.

  • All created beings are free to choose God or not. Not choosing God has consequences. Lucifer, God’s most trusted created being chose to challenge god and he was booted out of heaven and now dwells here on earth. He continues to actively oppose God by trying to ruin God’s most treasured creation which is us.

  • Lucifer, the devil, Satan, and the other names he goes by continues to assault God’s creation by calling to question:

    • Gender

    • Family

    • Nationhood

    • Masculinity

    • Femininity

  • Spiritual warfare for the kingdom requires warriors. Every Christian is in the war zone but for those of us who have seen the elephant, we understand.  We must understand how the battle is fought and train up other warriors to further the fight.  This should be our new purpose after the wars overseas and TBI, PTSD, and whatever new holes we have acquired. 

  • God gifts us with specific talents and skills to help his kingdom flourish on earth and fight the forces of darkness.  Many of these gifts are specified in the Bible and many are not.  The proper use of spiritual gifts is for the kingdom and not for ourselves.
